Following his success in previous years, we have invited Ian Clarke back to the Flute Festival in 2008, with Tim Carey again as his accompanist.

Ian Clarke is a player/composer who in recent years has established a reputation as one of the UK's most innovative flautists. Ian is regularly invited to perform, lead workshops and give master classes for  numerous flute events around the country including many of the UK's leading flute courses and music colleges.

Ian’s compositions range from the humorous to the ethereal and from the sight readable to the definitely un-sight readable, often employing an array of extended techniques that he manages to combine in a uniquely accessible manner
