Jack playing at a must peterssic workshop at St. Peters

Jackie has been a player with Flute Cocktail since the beginning of the century. She has also played in a recorder consort and currently sings in the chamber choir as well as joining with the junior wind band and Flute Juice (Sue Day’s famous junior flute choir) at the local college where she works. She is Publicity Officer for Blowzone which includes updating their website, www.blowzonetavistock.co.uk .

Jackie’s other passion is writing. As well as writing articles for ‘Pan’, British Flute Society’s magazine she has recently completed her second novel. Jackie is closely involved with creative writing in the community and has instigated a local writing group in Tavistock, producing two anthologies of the group’s work. She believes that playing music and the art of writing are both cathartic and energizing, which are two good reasons for her aspiration to encourage children and adults to play and to write.

She has just published her first novel - "Breaking New Ground"
