Michael is a flautist, conductor and music teacher. He studied flute and conducting at Trinity College of Music, London, graduating with LTCL (flute teacher) and GTCL diplomas. 

In addition to his work as a flute teacher, Michael was the conductor of Flute Cocktail since our beginning back in the year 2000, although he gave up this role in September of 2008 to pursue other interests. 

He is currently Principal Flute with Plymouth Symphony Orchestra, and has worked with Sinfonia South West, Cornish Sinfonia and Opera South West.
